About
Thermal engineer. Builder. Explainer.
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in the Energy Transport Research Laboratory with Prof. Nenad Miljkovic. I came to Illinois from IIT Bombay, by way of research internships in Québec and Los Angeles and a year of thermal R&D at Lennox.
My research is thermal management for the systems that are about to need it most: single-phase liquid cooling of power electronics and AI accelerators, dynamic system-level modeling of hyperscale data centers, and two-phase immersion cooling of lithium-ion batteries. The thread through all of it is bridging component-level cooling with system-level thermal architecture, because the cold plate sets what the rack can do and the rack sets what the cold plate must survive.
I like work that ends in a number someone can check: a measured heat flux, a validated model, a printed part on a test bench. I also like explaining it, which is most of why this site exists.
I will graduate by 2028 and want to work in industry on data-center thermal management, semiconductor thermal management, or EV thermal systems. If you are solving those problems, write to me.
Off the clock: singing, guitar, tennis, hiking, and the occasional 3 a.m. argument about something that does not matter.
